Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 movie review

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010)

Voldemort's (Ralph Fiennes) power is growing stronger. He now has control over the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts. Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) decide to finish Dumbledore's work and find the rest of the Horcruxes in order to defeat the Dark Lord. But little hope remains for the Trio, and the rest of the Wizarding World, so everything they do must go as planned. I'm an avid Harry Potter fan, so of course I loved this movie. I thought that it followed the book very well, but managed to skip over some of the parts of the book that tend to drag out (for example, most of the tent / forest scenes in the book). It has been nice to watch Dan, Rupert, and Emma develop throughout the years, and it seems as if Dan has finally learned how to properly cry! Thank god. It was painful having to watch him fake cry in the 3rd and 4th movies. Anyway, I definitely loved this movie, and I can't wait to see the final installment because I have a feeling that it will end up being the best and most thrilling Harry Potter movie yet.

I gave this movie 10/10 stars on imdb.com.
