Addicted to Love (1997)
An astronomer named Sam (Matthew Broderick) is in love with Linda. In the beginning of the movie, Linda goes to New York for a bit, and she ends up leaving Sam for a Frenchman named Anton. Sam decides to go to New York in order to attempt to win Linda back. He sets up home in an abandoned building opposite his ex-girlfriend's apartment. Several weeks after he has set everything up, a very hostile woman named Maggie (Meg Ryan) arrives. Maggie is Anton's ex-fiance, and she's out for revenge. Together, they team up to attempt to separate the couple, and ruin Anton's life. I mostly wanted to see this movie because of Meg Ryan. Personally, I wasn't entirely impressed with this movie. The acting was good, but there was one main thing that bothered me a lot. The thing that bothered me the most is that Sam took up an abandoned building as his temporary home for a few months. That just seemed odd, and slightly stalker-ish. He would watch her every move. It just seemed creepy. Other than that, I didn't think that it was a bad movie, but it wasn't as good as what I was expecting it to be.
I gave this movie 6/10 stars on imdb.com.
