Fun With Dick and Jane (2005)
Dick Harper (Jim Carrey) has just received a job promotion. Upon receiving the promotion, Dick tells his wife Jane (Tea Leoni) that she can quit her job and stay at home with their son since he will be making enough money to provide for the entire family. So, Jane quits her job. The same day that Jane quits her job, the business that Dick works for becomes bankrupt. The CEO of the company had managed to steal large amounts of money from the company. Therefore, Dick loses his job, along with all of the other employees. For several months, he attempts to find another job, but is unsuccessful in all of his attempts. Their house ends up being foreclosed, so they become extremely desperate for money. Therefore, they turn to armed robbery. In the end, they decide to steal back what the former CEO of the company had stolen from them. This film was somewhat good, but it wasn't as funny as I had expected it to be. It didn't really make me laugh out loud that much. At times, I felt that the acting was a bit over the top. Overall, this film kept me entertained for roughly an hour and a half, but I'm not sure if I'd ever watch it again. It's just one of those types of movies where, once you've seen it, you don't really care much about seeing it again.
