The Lake House (2006)
I have seen parts of this movie, but never in its entirety. It's 2006, and Kate Forster (Sandra Bullock) is moving out of the lake house and into another home in order to be closer to her job as a doctor in a nearby hospital. Rewind two years to 2004, and you will find Alex Wyler (Keanu Reeves) moving into the lake house. Kate and Alex correspond by writing to each other and sticking their letters in the mailbox located at the lake house. But, it's weird because Kate is in 2006 and Alex is in 2004. The movie never explains why this happens. It just does. So, they continue to write each other back and forth, stuck in different time periods. Alex ends up trying his best to do anything to finally be with Kate in the future. Sure, the plot is extremely random and unbelievable. But, it was a rather enjoyable movie. Well, I don't care much for Keanu Reeves at all. His acting just isn't that great, in my opinion. Sandra Bullock was wonderful, as always. The movie also offered a few surprise twists, which kept the story a bit refreshing and un-repetitive. If you like romantic movies, then this would probably be a good one to watch. But, if you over-analyze the time difference, then it will be hard to enjoy this movie.
I gave this movie 7/10 stars on imdb.com.
