Sleepover (2004)
It is the last day of school and Julie (Alexa Vega) is planning on throwing a sleepover party. She invites her friends Hannah, Farrah, and Yancy over for the party. Julie's mother gives her strict rules to stay in the house at all times. However, a popular girl arrives to the house and offers up a proposition. If Julie and the girls agree to do a scavenger hunt race against a group of popular girls, then the winners of the scavenger hunt win the coveted lunch spot at high school the next year. Finally, this is a chance for Julie and her friends to improve their social status if they are able to complete the challenge first. This movie was definitely a teen clique kind of movie. It's one of those that isn't really that great, but you can't help but to laugh at it's excruciatingly cheesy lines. I watched this movie right after I finished watching The Time Traveler's Wife because I needed a good laugh. The only good things about this movie were that Jane Lynch played Julie's mother and Steve Carell played a cop. So, if you by any chance enjoy watching a movie solely to laugh at the horrible acting and cheesy lines, then this one is for you.
